Eight artist/architects exhibit their travel-inspired art - watercolors, gouache, photography, digital art, & collage. This group of architects come from across the country, and are joined in this enterprise through friendship, shared interest, and a desire to make art and share it.
While the artists are all architects, the art they created for this show isn’t about architecture, per se, but rather, the exercise of really looking at things and seeing what is there.
Sketching, photographing, and painting these scenes reminds us of our moments of fascination with the world around us. The pieces in this show bring back memories of travel and the details that we, as architects, look for and see as part of our background programming, whether in the built environment or in nature.
